Boasting 500V (20V more than the last generation) it's currently slated to hit select Japanese markets, next month. If you're expecting it to be faster than the 480V variant, which offers a 30-minute, 80-percent charge time, you'll be very pleased.

A Look at a Futuristic Concept

Have you ever wanted to control your car with your mind?  Well, in the near future that might be a real possibility. Soon, vehicles like the Nissan Altima may be able to read your mind.

Nissan has joined forces with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland to research "Brain Machine Interface" (BMI) concepts. The idea allows disabled people to maneuver wheelchairs by thought transference. Nissan hopes to convert this project for use in cars, so that disabled drivers (and able bodied ones) can drive telepathically.

For those of you who are not familiar with Jeremy Clarkson from the BBC series Top Gear he's known for his brutal honesty and not holding back when he reviews cars he dislikes.  However, not all his reviews are accurate when it comes down to it.

Clarkson recently reviewed the Nissan Leaf. Along with the rest of Nissan's upcoming line, Clarkson said it was all too "boring." The people at Dick Scott Nissan in Canton, MI disagree, as does Nissan PR.

Nissan PR chief Tom Barnard complained to Top Gear that Clarkson's review contained "inaccuracies", adding they…

The One-Millionth Qashqai was Built

It might be difficult for us in the U.S. to even pronounce, but the Nissan Qashqai has recently hit a significant milestone underlining the crossover's continued popularity in markets abroad, including the U.K. as well as Japan and Australia where it is known as the Nissan Dualis. For the sake of making the rest of this a little easier to read, Qashqai is pronounced Kash-key...kind of like the whole grain cereal only with a "k" in the middle. Anyway, moving on...

Similar in size to the hot-selling U.S. crossover, the Nissan Rogue, the Qashqai is…

One-Million Mark Reached for the Nissan Frontiers

Dick Scott Nissan is proud to announce that Nissan has produced its one millionth Frontier!  This is an outstanding accomplishment given that it took only 14 years.  Where did the one-millionth Frontier roll off the assembly line? Right here in the U.S., at the Smyrna, TN manufacturing facility.

We would like to honor Nissan's feat by sharing a little bit of the Frontier's many evolutions. Taking a brief trip back in time, we'll reminisce how the Nissan Frontier became the first mainstream pickup in the U.S. and grew to its success today.

It all began…
